Taxonomy

A framework for organising long-form thought within the &multiply canon

&multiply arranges its written work through a set of internal codes.
Each code signals the function of a piece — whether it builds a model, advances a critique, establishes a narrative, or proposes a societal structure.
Together, these categories form the working architecture of the studio’s thinking.

CC | Cultural Critique

Readings of behaviour, media, aesthetics, and collective psychology.
CC pieces examine the cultural atmosphere in which identities and systems form.

Function: interpretation, commentary, pattern recognition.
Examples: cultural symptoms, aesthetic analysis, social dynamics.

DD | Deep Dive

Investigations that descend into the mechanics of a system.
DD pieces unpack operations, map behaviours, or construct technical reasoning.

Function: analysis, structure, intellectual engineering.
Examples: design reasoning, systemic thought, architectural logic.

MM | Meta-Manifesto

Papers that articulate a governing lens or interpretive framework.
They define the conceptual physics from which other pieces derive their logic.

Examples: identity, psychology, societal transitions, philosophical models.

SS | Story Spline

Narratives that carry truth through metaphor, emotional logic, or fable-form.
SS pieces allow ideas to be approached obliquely — through feeling, symbol, or narrative rhythm.

Function: illumination, meaning-making, story as lens.
Examples: allegories, episodes, symbolic tales, character-based explorations.

Numbering

Each category is numbered sequentially (MM-001, DD-004, CC-031, etc.).
Numbers signal lineage rather than chronology — a quiet record of how the canon evolves over time.
